Blackboard chalk idea

Ruth suggested a portion of the car should be painted with blackboard chalk so that it can be interactive - GREAT idea! Now how do we attach the chalk? I'm sure there are pros and cons with providing chalk to the average passer by...
PROS:

  • empowering people to add to the art
  • kid friendly
CONS:

  • explicit messages I may not notice until they are embarrassing
  • people might write with marker or other non-chalk non-erasable tool
What do you all think? Where can this idea take us?

    You could put it on the car with chalk when you wanted to or take it off. I guess it would have to be modified if you wanted to keep chalk on it all the time.

    Thanks for the magactray idea. Perhaps we can attach magnets to a clear plastic box with a hinged top for the chalk? We could have a second one for an eraser too!
